Indy Black Wealth
Indy Black Wealth is a 501(c)3, that was incorporated in the state of Indiana on 28 July 2025. The mission and goal of the organization is to increase the wealth of Black families in Indianapolis to at least 50% of wealth in white families by January 1, 2040, with the intent that this increase will be intergenerational / inherited wealth for these families.

We know that home equity and savings / retirement savings comprise most of the wealth in American families and our focus will be in these areas.
The Building Blocks
We feel that increasing the financial knowledge of Black families, allowing them not only to make better financial decisions and save for an adequate retirement, but also to transfer wealth to succeeding generations will alleviate many public policy concerns such as education, public safety, and health. Additionally, there could be other positive outcomes that we cannot foresee at this time.
10-Week Curriculum
Our 10-week curriculum walks participants through a series of financial literacy goals, and ends with a final progress review and benefits overview.
The Participants
Participants in the program are selected based on their commitment to enhancing their family.
Financial Coaching
Volunteer Financial Life Coaches will be engaged to support the families in the program.

Location
In the FIRST Phase of the program, Indy Black Wealth will select participants from the Riverside community in Indianapolis, IN.
