Indy Black Wealth:  About

The mission and ultimate goal of the organization is to increase the wealth of Black families in Indianapolis to at least 50% of wealth in white families by January 1, 2040.  We intend for this increase to be intergenerational / inherited wealth for these families.  We know that home equity and savings / retirement savings comprise most of the wealth in American families and our focus will be in these areas.

Other pertinent data may be relevant to our goal.  As such, other indicators will be monitored such as percentage of families banked, families with investment accounts, and families with life/health insurance.
